I decided to create this discussion thread for the purpose of allowing this site's visitors to discuss and to explore, if they want to, their respective beliefs on life, death, and rights (be they enumerated or unenumerated, natural or legal or otherwise), and how we reconcile (or have difficulty reconciling) them with and against one another.

If the fetus of a Martian creature were discovered on the planet Mars, would we conclude that life existed on Mars - or that it had, at least, existed on Mars at some previous point in time?

By contrast, is a human fetus a person? Is it part of a person? Is it a quasi-person?

This thread isn't about abortion, although it will likely touch on it, from time to time. I picked a fetus as an initial example to begin to illustrate a point.

I am more interested in learning what you believe, than in hearing regurgitated political babble on such subjects. Keep that in mind, as you proceed. Granted, you may agree with some of that babble, or even all of it, but it is your view that I am interested in.

Where human life is concerned, should the right to life (whatever that is) be properly considered to be an absolute right? Is the right to life a natural right? Is human life precious? Is it priceless? Is it sacred?

Now, do you support or favor the death penalty?

Do you believe in the existence of God? Does God have life, or merely existence? Are life and existence one and the same thing?

Is a human life sacred, if the human is not God?

What is "innocent" human life? Is a fetus innocent? Is an infant child innocent?

The Ninth Amendment to the United States Constitution states:

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Which rights are these "others" retained by the people? How many of these rights are there, that are not enumerated?

Should the rights of children be equal to the rights of adults?

Now, think in terms of what you consider yourself to be, and tell me if you consider yourself to be a conservative, a liberal, or something else.
You have quoted very genuine features of human life. All the aspects are totally depended on individuals way of personal perception. The rights of a child right from the birth are legalize but due to his disability the higher authorities upon him shape his life on their contradictions.It totally matters on the mind propaganda of higher authorities.
And then there were some.

I shall have some fun with this. Which I suppose that after which people will then disagree with me. Being fond of my right to be wrong, here goes;

There is no life before birth. Also no soul. Soul is a matter of conscience. Thusly: No conscience= No soul= No life (yes including someone with no conscience who is largely considered to be alive in a physical sense.)

Life on Mars did at one point exist. (They likely vacated the premises due to Orsen Wells and his penchant for inciting riots)

A fetus is a part of someone until it becomes someone after birth.

God is good -- Men are flawed (don't ask-I won't tell*who you calling Gay)

The right to live is absolute (both physical and meta-physical)

The taker of a life deserves the same without predjudice. Therein lie the conundrum-- he who issues forth the order for killers to be killed is also a killer-- I support the Death Penalty (go figure *settle down I'm only just started)

God is was and always will be. However The word of God is falsified by man and perverted for reasons of control and power. (Down with religion)

A humans life is the temporary placement of a soul upon the earth for the purpose of knowing what is gained by forgiveness. (Duh !)

There are no innocent souls. Human or otherwise. All things sin. Life without sin is life without forgivenes (ie: with forgiveness comes true life)

The Constitution oversteps itself constantly. Good intention is nothing without deed of a likeness. (Hope in itself is not enough without action)

Rights do not exsist. (eyes wide open - they still are blind)

Continue to wander and wonder.

I am foolish yet not a fool. All of this I hold to be truth.

If God takes a life, does God deserve to die?

If the right to live/life is absolute, then how does one deserve to die, even if they kill someone?

If the right to live/life is absolute, then why do you support the death penalty, since the death penalty is at odds with the principle that the right to live/life is absolute?
